Military Outreach

As both a US Army Viet Nam era veteran and a Christian, it is a special privilege to provide a free copy of the New Testament and some encouraging literature to any soldier who requests one.

This New Testament includes a prologue written by Colonel J. Tyler Ryberg, USMC (Ret.) entitled The Most Powerful Weapon in the World. Photo Left: Col. Ryberg

Today’s young people who are enlisting in our all-voluntary military know full well what their probable duty assignment will be if the War on Terror continues.

For these young people, and many soldiers who have recently returned from combat, the Gospel of Jesus Christ is the only source of true lasting peace which will keep their hearts and minds together as they deal with the effects of their encounters with close combat. Many returning soliders have experienced in a very short period of time a level of violence and combat greater than what most police officers would ever experience in a whole career. The trauma to their souls will be healed by one thing only: the “peace which passeth all understanding” that will keep their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:7). See Tactical Study “On Peace.

If you are a returning veteran and are dealing with readjustment issues or PTSD, please check out our Set FREE! program or contact us directly. We offer our services to you at no cost.

Those who serve in the military are under the authority of human government, which is the same God-ordained human institution under which law enforcement officers serve. Their spiritual needs are the same. (See Separation of Church and State)

We deeply appreciate the dedication and service to our nation that the men and women of our armed forces give. (See Tim’s Biography)

“Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation. For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same: For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.” - Romans 13:1-4

Please pray with us for the safety of our troops and for the healing in the hearts of those who are returning from combat.
